2. Tea has less caffeine than coffee
Coffee usually has 2-3 times the caffeine of tea. An 8-oz cup of coffee contains about 140 mg caffeine; tea contains only 30-40 mg per cup. It used to be thought that caffeinated beverages couldn't contribute to our overall daily fluid requirement. however, recent research has shown that the caffeine is irrelevant- tea and other caffeinated beverages do contribute to our fluids need.

Tea doesn't have any calories... unless you add sweetener or milk. Cutting back on just 250 fewer calories per day (by eliminating sweetener or milk) can result in loosing one pound per week.

Green tea has been shown to actually increases metabolic rate; you can burn 70-80 additional calories by drinking one cup of green tea per day.
